Jack was 8 days old when Mommy and Daddy held him for the first time.
My good friend Mike Fanning (one of Erik's old roommates) and his wife Tricia had a baby on January 2nd. Unfortunately, Tricia developed preeclampsia, and little Jack Michael was born after only 28 weeks, at 1 lb 9 oz. While he's a little fighter, he is definitely struggling--a lot.

Yep, that band around his arm is Daddy's (Mike's) wedding ring.
Jack is obviously VERY tiny--only 11 inches.
